What kind of game this is

Army Commander Tycoon is a military tycoon on Roblox: you start with a small outpost and a $300 Troop Tent, and the loop is build → earn → unlock → capture. Oil rigs make the money, the Headquarters gates how far your base can grow, and the ARMY panel turns that money into a standing force of infantry, vehicles, tanks, aircraft and ships. Your army then fights for lettered capture points across the map — on its own, if you leave it on AUTO.

The game is new and moving fast: launched September 28, 2026, already on Update 3, with 3.6 million visits and about 5,200 concurrent players as of October 19, 2026 (Roblox's public game API). Expect numbers in these pages to shift with updates — every table states the version it was checked on.

A word on how this section stays honest. The game updates roughly weekly, and patches can reprice unlocks, retune HQ costs, or add whole unit branches — the Update 2 patch alone made army mixing possible and scheduled three naval releases for November. So every number here carries its source and its as-of date: game identity comes from Roblox's public API, and unit prices from in-game records that name the exact build they were captured on. When a table and your in-game ARMY panel disagree, trust the panel and treat the table as awaiting its next check.

The loop, in six moves

  1. 01

    Build the first Troop Tent

Press B for CONSTRUCTION and place a Troop Tent ($300). The tutorial walks you here first — your starting squad of Riflemen fields from it.

  2. 02

    Get four Oil Rigs running

Under B → Economy, rigs cost $90, $160, $270 and $470, and each pays for itself in roughly 30–70 seconds. Nothing else early on comes close — income is the whole game.

  3. 03

    Upgrade the Headquarters

HQ gates everything. HQ 2 ($60.0K) opens garages and docks, HQ 3 opens armour and radar, HQ 4 ($1.00M after that) opens helicopters, aircraft, warships and artillery.

  4. 04

Unlock units once, keep them forever

In the ARMY panel (V), a unit type is unlocked a single time — after that every building of that type can field it and losses are replaced for free on a reinforcement timer.

  5. 05

    Let AUTO take the objectives

Your army fights for capture points on its own while you build. The COMMAND map (C) is there when you want to order groups around — calls like Artillery or Airstrike cost Gold.

  6. 06

Promote when you can afford it

Promote is the rebirth button (under MORE). The first rank-up wants HQ 5 and $75.0M: buildings and cash reset, but you keep units and gain a permanent income bonus.

First-hour tips

Army Commander Tycoon FAQ

What is Army Commander Tycoon?
A military tycoon on Roblox by the developer sad builderboy. You build a base, grow your income with oil rigs, unlock a standing army of infantry, vehicles, tanks, aircraft and ships, and send it out to capture objectives across the map — growing from a small outpost into what the game calls a war machine. Servers hold up to 8 players.
Is Army Commander Tycoon new?
Very. It launched on September 28, 2026, and has been updated steadily since (Update 3 at the time of writing). It is one of the faster-growing Roblox releases of October 2026 — over 3.6 million visits and several thousand concurrent players as of October 19, 2026, per Roblox's public game API.
Do you lose units when they die?
No. You unlock a unit type once, and after that losses are replaced for free once the reinforcement timer runs (30 seconds for a level 1 Troop Tent, 24 at level 2). The money sink is unlocking types and upgrading buildings, not replacing casualties.
How do promotions work?
Promote (under the MORE button) is the game's rebirth mechanic. The first promotion, Lieutenant to Captain, requires HQ 5 and $75.0M: your buildings and cash reset, but you keep every unlocked unit, plus a permanent +50% income bonus, 50 Gold, a $2,750 starting balance and a Doctrine point. Higher cash-unit prices are locked behind promotion ranks — Marksman needs Promotion 1, for example.
